A picture of the US Bullion Repository at Fort Knox...It is one of the most secure places in the world...Just like the US in general...I am glad to be an American... |

A picture of me when I was a Rat from VMI in Feb 85 during Breakout 85 after a rather grueling week of physical exertion...I looked and felt the same way... |
As a Rat member of an India Company Guard Team in Jan 85... |
A typical Guard Team Inspection in front of Jackson Arch in Spring 87... |

From Graduation Day in May 88 with Mom and my good friend, Doug Wishart ('88), who decided to stay longer at VMI because he liked it so much...Doug and I are actually sweating rather profusely... |
Parade for us on Graduation Day in May 88 by the Corps of Cadets...Now we got to see everyone else sweat their cajones off for a change during a formal parade... |
When I got home and took off those sweaty uniform items in May 88...Goodbye VMI... |

Matt "the Rat" on the same day his class was getting ready for Breakout 91 to start...He is being corrected by an upperclassman, but you can see from the smile behind him that this is all BS...Matt was one of my little brothers...He was also a special project...
|
Todd or "Alien" on the same day his class was getting ready for Breakout 91 to start...Todd later became a Cadet Officer in the Corps as a senior...He was also one of my little brothers... |
This is Chris "Mugsy" Long who was one of my five freshman (Rat) room mates in Apr 85...This butthead turned me over to the Cadre for shaving my head with a Norelco...I got screwed over for quite a while and did several hundred pushups for this tattle...He is now working as a cop in Richmond VA...He's still a butthead... |

Ah, yes, my favorite haunt called Nichols Engineering Building (NEB), where I sweated 4 years to get my Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering...Its resemblance to a medieval House of the Inquisition isn't coincidental... |
A bright spot on campus was the Preston Library where you could study and sweat at the same time and wish you majored in Liberal Arts so you could have a girlfriend and a decent nite's sleep... |
Most people hated Mallory Hall (Math and Physics Departments)...Actually, I did pretty good in here and felt the same way about NEB instead... |
