Callie, daughter of Allen and Margaret Thomas was born October 12, 1872 and died March 8, 1905, aged 32 years 4 months and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Osea Defenbaugh 1892 and to this union were born five children, one son and four daughters. She is survived by her husband, mother, one son and three daughters, (one daughter, a little babe, having died a few days previous to her death) three brothers, three sisters and many other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by many friends, and especially by her loved ones in the home. She expressed a desire to live to care for her little children, should it be the Lord's will, if not, she was willing to depart to enter the beautiful home in heaven. Funeral services was held at Bethany last Friday morning, conducted by Rev. D.J. Smith, of Ar???an text: "Abide with us for it is toward evening." Internment was in the beautiful cemetery near Laurelville.
