360. Edward MOWERY . After graduating from Notre Dame in engineering Edward got a job on an architectural magazine. He later ran a local newspaper in Bexley Ohio and then worked on the Lancaster Eagle in Lancaster Ohio. While working for the New York World-Telegram and the New York Sun and writing more than 70 headlined stories he worked on the famous Louis Hoffner case. After six years he was successful in having him freed. For this and other stories he was awarded the Pulitzer prize.
