152. John Denver GRIFFITH (118) was born on 26 Sep 1933 in Lancaster Fairfield Co. Ohio. Birth Certificate # 380 Fairfield Co Vital Statistics He died on 18 Aug 1994 in Lancaster Fairfield Co. Ohio. He was buried on 20 Aug 1994 in St. Mary Cemetery Lancaster Ohio. OBITUARY: Lancaster Eagle Gazette August 19 1994.

John D. Griffith 60 of Old Rushville Road N.E. Rushville died Thursday August 18 1994 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was a member of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ; Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict; and retired supervisor of the special machine shop at Diamond Power Corporation. He is survived by his wife Marilyn R. Griffith; two daughters and sons-in-law Kathy and David Holmberg of Portage Michigan Susan and Thad Goodman of Bremen; son and daughter-in-law John C. and Shelly Griffith of Columbus; eight grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law Bernadine and Bob Baker Georgia Griffith all of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Florence Moore Griffith. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sheridan Funeral Home with Minister David C. Tingler officiating; burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Fairfield County Chapter of the American Heart Association.

NOTE: John was the president of the Griffith/Mauk/Eidson/Huggins reunion for many years. John and Maryland spent many days year after year taking care of the Fairview Church where we still have the reunion.
John also spent many hours in the research of our family origins.

He was married to Marilyn Rose MCLAUGHLIN (daughter of Carl J. MCLAUGHLIN and Mary Bernadine MAST) on 7 Jul 1953 in Indiana. Marilyn Rose MCLAUGHLIN was born on 7 Dec 1935 in Fairfield Co. Ohio. John Denver GRIFFITH and Marilyn Rose MCLAUGHLIN had the following children:
