57. George W. MECHLING was born on 25 Oct 1800 in Westmoreland Co. Pennsylvania. He was baptized on 3 May 1801 in First Lutheran Church Greensburg Pennsylvania. SPONSORS: George & Elizabeth (WEGELY) Otterman. George was brother of Anna Maria Otterman Wife of Jacob Mechling. He was buried in Mar 1891 in St. Paul's Cemetery Glenford Ohio. He died on 3 Mar 1891 in Ohio. He has Ancestral File number NNW8-L2. LAND: George inherited his farm the northwest quarter of Section 7 Range 16 in Perry Co. Ohio from his father.

NOTE: He contributed towards the building of St. Paul's Church in Glenford Ohio.

He was married to Sarah ZARTMAN (daughter of Alexander ZARTMAN and Salome KOBEL) on 18 Aug 1825 in Glenford Twp. Perry Co. Ohio. He was sealed to spouse on 3 Sep 1959 in the Los Angeles California LDS temple. Sarah ZARTMAN was born on 15 Jul 1808 in Pennsylvania. She died on 28 Jan 1885 in Ohio. George W. MECHLING and Sarah ZARTMAN had the following children:
