He was confirmed on 23 May 1813 in First Reformed Church Greensburg Pennsylvania. He died about 1831. He was buried in St. Paul's Cemetery Glenford Ohio. He has Ancestral File number NNW8-HJ. RESIDENCES: He moved to Perry Co. Ohio with his parents in 1816. NOTE: Since Peter died before his father his children inherited his share of land the southwest quarter of Section 8 Range 18 in Perry Co. Ohio. Valued at $1000.00.

He was married to Mary DOWNOUR on 5 Jun 1817. Mary DOWNOUR was born on 24 Mar 1796. She was buried in Sep 1870 in St. Paul's Cemetery Glenford Ohio. She died on 12 Sep 1870. Also spelled Daunhaver or Dauenhauer Peter MECHLING and Mary DOWNOUR had the following children:
