BIOGRAPHY: George came to Ohio as a young man and worked as a shoemaker near Lancaster Fairfield County Ohio. In 1850 he was ordained a minister of the United Brethern Church and became a circuit rider through south western Ohio. In 1857 he purchased a 41 acre farm in Madison County Ohio. Sophia MACKLIN and George H. BOWER had the following children:
