108. Jacob MACKLIN was born about 1800 in Westmoreland Co. Pennsylvania. He died before 1847 in Wood Co. Ohio. He has Ancestral File number LJ26-V7. RESIDENCES: Moved to Fairfield Co. Ohio with his parents the same year he was born.
NOTE: In 1830 Jacob purchased about 160 acres of land in Wood County Ohio. In 1831 he purchased an additional 160 acres. He owned the Northeast quarter of Section 20 Township 5 Range 9 and the Northeast quarter of Section 31 Township 5 Range 9. Around this time he moved to Weston Township in Wood County. Ohio thus being one of the first settlers in that region. In 1833 Jacob and Catherine were listed as two of the six members of the First Methodist Class known as the "Gilead Mission". From his father's estate in Fairfield County Ohio he inherited a one tenth part of 150 acres of land in Pleasant Township but he later sold his share to his brother Joseph.
He was married to Catherine ARNOLD (daughter of Daniel ARNOLD and Catherine FOGLESONG) on 21 Mar 1827 in Perry Co. Ohio. Catherine ARNOLD was born on 25 Mar 1807 in Fairfield Co. Ohio. Jacob MACKLIN and Catherine ARNOLD had the following children:

511 iii. Jane Ann MACKLIN was born on 7 Dec 1830 in Wood Co. Ohio.

513 v. Harvey B. MACKLIN was born on 12 Feb 1836 in Wood Co. Ohio. He died on 25 Mar 1898.
514 vi. Benjamin W. MACKLIN was born in Sep 1844 in Wood Co. Ohio. He died on 26 Aug 1910.
